About

The Object

The object of our fraternity is to promote good fellowship, to encourage studiousness, and to inspire its members in seeking the best in their chosen lines of study as well as in life. Progress shall mark our every step; the spirit of congeniality shall reign at all times; and every member shall be honest with himself as with his brothers. Men elected to our membership are considered to be of good moral character, to be high in scholarship, to have the capacity for meeting and making friends, and to give promise of service to their fellowmen and to the world. To be and become such may at times require a sacrifice of time, pleasures and comforts.

No Hazing

We at FarmHouse firmly believe, "You can't build men by tearing down boys."   Hazing is not tolerated in FarmHouse.  New members will be treated with the respect due every person.

Dry Housing

Alcohol may never be stored or consumed on FarmHouse property.  This is true of all FarmHouse chapters and essential to achieving our goal of building gentlemen scholars.  Rest assured that when you need to study for an exam, your fraternity brothers are not throwing a party in your house.  Members of the legal drinking age may choose to consume alcohol at appropriate locations, not owned or rented by FarmHouse.

Building the Whole Man:

  • Intellectually
  • Spiritually
  • Socially
  • Physically

We place a high priority on academic excellence.  Our chapter houses and programming are built to accomplish this mission.  D. Howard Doane conceived the idea for FarmHouse at a Bible study; that tradition continues with chapters holding their own Bible studies and being involved at local churches.  Men of FarmHouse learn how to interact with each other as well as the world.  Programs teaching etiquette, networking, and social graces abound.  Brothers make great workout partners!  We also love to have intramural sports teams and spontaneous athletic games.
